Handphone Suddenly Died

Problem : In this case, Our handphone is suddenly dies (auto power-off).

Repair Procedure :

  • First test battery that still good. Discharging battery old ones, test using multitester. if battery broken, So change with new, but if battery still good, return battery old ones in handphone, Then try to switch on handphone.
  • Check battery connector, See what there are rust in brass battery conector also can as isolator, Check flexibility of battery connector by pressed battery connector, If the flexibility is unnormally or Broken, we must replaced it. Because with failure battery connector so battery position unlocks and Fluctuate when we have brought handphone. With fluctuate bayyery position caused broken the connection from battery to handphone, and it cause handphone dies itself(auto power-off).
  • If both of battery and battery connector hasn't problem, So try charge battery in handphone, if charge indicator appear on screen but handphone can not lighted, it is caused of IC-PA has trouble.
  • Discharging IC PA from your handphone, Then try to turn on the handphone. if you phone has no signal, give new IC PA.
  • But if we charge the handphone and charge indicator doesn't come up on screen, and when handphone turn on, they can't, So we must investigate and testing using power supply (PS). But there are possibility that ugly tin or Soldering IC PA's feet unfavourable in PCB (connection from IC PA on PCB disturbed or Brokened off). The solution pulls IC PA in PCB, Then clean tins on PCB where IC PA colled with IPA cleaner liquid, Beatening tins in IC PA feet, Resetting old ones of IC PA, Flaming handphone.
  • And Then investigate and Test handphone using power supply (PS), Power supply that we shall use to will investigate and Testing handphone must has scale as big as 1 ampere or 1000 mili ampere. It means for reading investigation result and testing easier because mre sensitifitas from power supply.
  • Connect cable from power supply (PS) to battery konektor with sequence as follows: Black cable of power supply to negative pole battery coonector, Green cable of power supply to BSI's pole (Battery System Information) battery connector, yellow Cable of power supply to temperature pole battery connector, and Red cable of power supply to positive pole battery connector. connecting between handphone with power supply need 3 cable minimally.
  • Before power supply switch on, setting voltase of power supply on 0 Vs, it is to prevent gives voltase that is too big, it is caused our handphone trouble increases.
  • After that we can set voltase to 3,6 V for Nokia 3310, if your handphone is not 3310, you must accustommed voltase that wanted handphone, with only 0,5 Vs. More than that tolerance will cause your handphone will broken.
